Hi
Any one been diving in Egypt recently?

I hear stories of no diesel for some of the boats and on land, no
heating for the pools some hotels are running out of alcohol and some
food. Supermarkets are empty of food and water.

Plus:
Insurance cover with many companies is null and void.

Egyptian hospitality was reported as being 110% for those I've talked to
who have been, but they weren't divers so didn't know if the diving was
hit.

So any update from someone who's been recently?

What's this? A diving-related post?!!!
I haven't been to Egypt but there was something in one of the dive mags this
month about it being very very quiet at Travco marina in Sharm. Only one or
two boats going in and out! And quiet in Sharm town as well.
He did also mention that there were lots of fish around as well, so it could
be the ideal time to go diving.
